Year 6 had a wonderful time visiting the Tower of London on Monday 6, March.
They had this to say about it:
"…you could tell Duncan was a Norman because he had spikes [spurs]on the back of his shoes for riding horses and only the Normans had horses [in the Battle of Hastings]. "
"My favourite part was the torture chamber, looking at all the ways that people were tortured. My favourite tool was the ‘stretcher’."
"Did you know? There were over 11 [different types of] animals in the Tower, including elephants, polar bears and lions!!! "
Thank you to Miss Harte and Mrs Parker for taking them and to Mrs Geday and Ms Ashton for helping out.
