Year 7 visited the Tate during the week before half term to see the Georgia O'Keefe exhibition. This was a fantastic opportunity to view a very large body of work from this prolific abstract painter and to explore her techniques and influences.
The children were able to view many of her varied creations, seeing that her work goes far beyond the flower paintings for which she is famed. This visit will inspire their current abstract painting project in acrylic paint. Both groups should be congratulated on the their interest, eagerness to ask questions and mature behaviour during the exhibition. Well done!
