The Year 4 girls played their first football match of the year against Devonshire House on Tuesday. From kick off, there was a high intensity with the girls getting stuck into some strong challenges against the opposition. SPCS got early lead with some strong strikes at goal and there was some outstanding defending and some great shot giving us a clean sheet! The game finished with a full-time result of 4-0.
The second game was just as exciting with a strong desire to win the ball. There was some great battling in the middle of the pitch and some fantastic defending which resulted in a 3-0 victory for St Paul's.
For their first football fixture of the year, the girls played brilliantly and should be very proud of their performance on the pitch.
The U8 footballers also travelled to Devonshire House to play their first match for the school. The A team won their game 4-2 and our keeper made some spectacular saves whilst there was some strong tackles in defense.
The B team lost their match 2-1 but the team showed excellent commitment and resilience as they kept searching for the equalizing goal right up until the final whistle.
Well done to them all!
