SPCS Choristers vs WACS Choristers

On Wednesday the choristers played against their counterparts from Westminster Abbey in the first game of the Jackson Cup competition. SPCS were forced to come from behind twice to eventually end up drawing the game 2-2.

St Paul's scored the equalizing goal just before the half time break thanks to an excellent ball delivered in to the box that was controlled and set up nicely by our boys.

Westminster Abbey took the lead again at the start of the second half, which left SPCS chasing the game in to the final 15 minutes. Despite dominating possession and territory it looked like it was going to be an afternoon of frustration as the attacking players struggled to find the back of the net. Fortunately, one of our players found himself in the right position with just two minutes to go, which allowed him to catch the ball sweetly and fire towards goal on the half volley which left the keeper with little chance.

A draw was the least the team deserved for their efforts and they now look ahead to the Hockey fixture that will be played in the Spring Term.
