Year 3 Reach for the Stars!

Year 3 visited the Royal Observatory in Greenwich as part of their IPC topic this term about space and our place within it. The children have also learnt a lot about the moon and how important it is to us on Earth. They enjoyed some brilliant workshops where they gained an understanding about the size of the moon in relation to the sun and how different coloured moons occur. They also visited the Planetarium where they explored Mars and Saturn in more detail. The pupils were interested to see the Greenwich Meridian line as they have been learning about lines of longitude and latitude .Everyone had a great day!
