As a parent at SPCS, you become a member of our Parent Teacher Association. The PTA exists to strengthen and support the community of St Paul’s Cathedral School. We do this by running a number of social activities for parents during the year where you can meet friends old and new and have fun while raising money for the school. This usually involves a curry and quiz night and class meet-ups throughout the year.
The PTA runs discos and film evenings for the different sections of the school, competitions, organises popular termly cake sales and runs a Summer Fair to raise money to raise money both for the school and for external charities. We fund ‘treats day’ for the children to have a day out each year with their form group. We also make grants to enhance the children’s experience, such as funding the new school garden or the school’s ‘nice to have’ items.
PTA members also make themselves available at Open Afternoons to give prospective parents advice and information about SPCS and help new families to settle in to the SPCS community.
We’re always keen to hear from parents who want to join the PTA’s organising committee; you can contact the current Chair, Alex Gavrielides, via the School Office or email pta@spcs.london.sch.uk.
