Trust Me, I’m a Vampire!

October Half Term Drama Club

When a vegetarian vampire moves into the neighbourhood, all she wants is to make friends and fit in. Unfortunately, her wicked sister has other plans! Throw in a magical ring, 100 plastic spiders and a Halloween party that goes spectacularly wrong, and chaos is guaranteed. Only love can save the day!

Over the October half-term break, some of our students were busy attending our Halloween-themed drama club, where, at their own request, the group created their very own Halloween play, Trust Me, I’m a Vampire!

Inspired by drama games and improvisation, the students developed characters, built a story and worked together to bring their imaginative ideas to life. Along the way, they explored teamwork, creativity, listening, stagecraft and performance skills.

Mr Brockwell commented: “This was the most stressful project I have ever done. I’m terrified of spiders, even plastic ones! But I’m incredibly proud of the students’ enthusiasm, hard work and the fun they brought to every rehearsal, even if it meant the occasional spider being brought out to surprise me. It was a fantastic week of creativity, collaboration and just a little chaos!”
